Providence Catholic Students Donate Handmade Blankets To Children’s Advocacy Center

Providence Catholic students are inspired by the core Augustinian values of Truth, Unity, and Love. The school provides spiritual programs that foster and promote an enduring commitment to a life of faith and service.

PCHS students donated blanket material, which were then made into comfort blankets by members of the PCHS Respect for Life Club. Respect for Life Club is one of the largest service organizations at Providence Catholic. The group is dedicated to living out the value that all human life is sacred and should be protected.  Students also have the opportunity to take part in the National March for Life in Washington D.C. each year.
Respect for Life members made a total of 11 blankets for children that are served by the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center.

PCHS Senior, Gea Alberico has volunteered her time to collect and make blankets for kids in need. “Being able to help these kids by doing something as simple as waking up early and making blankets, really puts things into perspective on how easy it is to help other those who need it,” she said. “It was a fun thing to do with my friends and felt amazing to help the kids by doing this.”
